Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V goes on pre-order for Rs 18K

The recently announced Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V is now available on pre-order at Letsbuy.com .The phone will most likely be officially released on October 12. The Xperia Neo V has been priced at Rs. 17,999, which is quite a price for its feature set

The Xperia Neo V is a slightly downgraded version of the original Xperia Neo, which was not released in India.

Acer Iconia A501 tablet now available for Rs 32,990

Acer has started selling its Iconia A501 Android tablet. The A501 is similar to the older Acer Iconia A500 tablet, but comes with additional 3G data connectivity along with WiFi.
The tablet is identical to the A500 except that it has 512 MB RAM as compared to 1 GB on the A500.

The tablet does not come preinstalled with Android Honeycomb 3.2 but an update is expected in the coming weeks. The tablet is priced at Rs. 32,990 which is somewhat higher than expected.

BlackBerry launches App World 3.0 officially

Last week, BlackBerry finally officially released it's App World 3.0, with a fresh UI, improved channels for finding new apps, better handling of your BBID and account info, a more social App World experience and mor.

In addition to the new UI and revamped channels, sharing your app discoveries has been made easier with integration of BBM, Facebook, Twitter, email and SMS in the app world. You can also more readily rate and review apps. This means that BlackBerry users will now be getting an App purchase experience, more on par with the leading competitors.

A notification should have popped up on your phone if you're running BB OS 5.0 or higher, to let you know it's time to upgrade. If you still haven't received anything give it a couple more days, or alternatively, you can go here to manually start the update

Many Apple users were disappointed by Apple's decision to not support Flash because they couldn't enjoy  Flash-based games or "social games" offered by Facebook and Google+ on their iPads. However, a new browser is here which has built in Flash support. It lets you access most Flash games and video sharing sites that use flash. The company has promised optimized games through its partnerships with game providers. What's more, the app doesn't even require you to jailbreak the device.

RIM launches BlackBerry Torch 9810 in India

Research In Motion (RIM) on Monday announced the launch of BlackBerry Torch 9810 with the BlackBerry 7 operating system in India.

It features a large 3.2 inch high resolution touch display and slide-out Qwerty keyboard that allow faster typing, 8 GB of memory, a 1.2 GHz processor, and a 5 MP camera with flash

With the BlackBerry 7 OS, the smartphone also features augmented reality enabled with the digital compass and accelerometer. The new OS version also features voice-activated universal search with speech-to-text translation.

Gingerbread update for Samsung Galaxy Ace available in India now

Samsung Galaxy Ace
Samsung India has started rolling out the Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread update for Galaxy Ace in the country. The update is available via Samsung Kies. a complete changelog has not been released, but going by previous reports, this update increases battery life, improves the UI, provides faster access and control, in addition to improved copy-paste functionality.
The new update also adds the support for Indic languages.
According to Samsung, you will also be able to get your Ace updated by going to a service center soon.
