G-Five to launch Android tablet in India

G-Five, a Chinese mobile handset maker, is planning to launch an Android tablet in India within the next month. The tablet will be a 7 inch capacitive touchscreen device based on Android 2.1. Although the specs were not announced, expect the device to run on a VIA processor of 600 MHz or more.
Jaideep Chopra, vice president, G-Five, says, "We are ready with the product; we are just waiting for the right time to introduce the device. The pricing will be competitive with what is available in the market."

We are expecting it to be priced below Rs 15,000 since competitors like Olive Telecom has a similar tablet running the latest Android version for about Rs. 19,000.
The third largest handset player in India, according to IDC, is all set to leap further by introducing 500 exclusive stores across the country, including 20 in Delhi.
